    Bradamant suggested a little more context on data and how data structure can increase the value and may be worth paying for. Tried to visualize her thoughts here. Thoughts/comments?

      Thanks! I think this is a really good visualization of what I was saying. (You didn't redraw that stack of little boxes every time, did you?)

      I'd really like to see more nonprofit competition for Google Scholar and similar search products. Just as scholars are challenged to make open access a priority, I think librarians need to be challenged to make good access to open access a priority.

      This may turn out to be peripheral to your primary argument, but I think it well illustrates the challenge for my profession.
