I'd really like to see more nonprofit competition for Google Scholar and similar search products. Just as scholars are challenged to make open access a priority, I think librarians need to be challenged to make good access to open access a priority.
This may turn out to be peripheral to your primary argument, but I think it well illustrates the challenge for my profession.
