Wall chart from Meshforum 2006The idea behind the richness/reach curve is that 1. The more people you reach the less rich the interaction, and 2. The more rich the interaction the fewer people you will reach. The arrows represent the idea that you want to slowly push the boundary out while maintaining a balance between richness and reach. Reach Richness Purpose of the session: How do we continue the meshforum energy? What works? The idea here is that Face-to-Face interactions are the glue that keeps the social dynamic cohesive. To keep the energy high between now and next year's event, suggestions were to have a way to interact online (like a wiki) interspersed with "mini-events" where people meet in person This is a reference to Howard Rheingold's Cooperation Commons diagram.
