- Text link ads advertising. It's been generating quite a bit on davedash.com, on this site I would of course hand-approve everything. The google ads it replaces aren't very good at earning me money. I'd like to come up with a way of bleding it into the site, but not making it too irritating to use
- Add the ability to search for restauraants near a certain location.
This will take a lot of extra programming, but it will be worth it :) - We added a link to "login" and "about" at the top. "login" obviously to draw people into logging into the site, and about so people can immediately figure out the site.
After login, these will get replaced with links to a profile maybe. - "sniff" to figure out the location of the incoming user. store it in a cookie. over-ridable preference by logged in users. defaults to "everywhere"
- Latest restaurants list the address to clue people in to where the restaurants are... e.g. if I don't live in a certain area, i wouldn't click on a restaurant.
- Link to additional restaurants if they exist.
- RSS feed and a more link :)
- We'll pick random image, thumbnail it, and then view it on the main page along with a description maybe some stats about number of reviews, raters, etc.
- Latest reviews/comments. we might localize that too!
Everything is hotlinked, users, items, etc.
