hey, I got a question. I am looking into
buying a DSLR and i am very close to choosing
the D80 but now i have a few options. One
website is listing the body only for 249.99.
Other lists it way more than that but with
the lens but i can still probably get the
lens from a different website. As a student
however, i am trying to save as much as
possible. What do you suggest? also, I am
planning on taking family pics as well as
Mountain pics, what lense (s) would you
recommend?

arne.list: The used bouncer is the standard
bouncer I got with the flash.
N Khan: If you want to buy the Nikon D80
then buy it without the standard lens. The
lens I am using (Nikkor AF-S DX VR 18/200
f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED) is the best all-round lens
for Nikon and I would recommend that you get
one og those if you don't wnat to buy more
than one.

I agree - the D80 is a nice thing! I am
definitely looking into your recommendation
of the 80-200 lens! I got a few on the
wide-angle spectrum. Does this one do macro?

super_lekker: No th 18-200 lens is not very
good at macro. The focus point has to be at
least 35cm from the front of the glass.

Digas: Yes I do, the image sensor is the same
as in the D200 and the D80 has many cool
functions (remote flash etc).
I don't know about the 18-135 kit lens, try
looking up some reviews on google.
