G5 "Super Gnat "

For the SCI-LUG Contest. I tried to make this one a little weird. Going for the funky '70s Sci-fi. It will fit in the 14X14X5 "cartridge" on its side (explained in the cheesy story below). More pictures to come soon.

The Gnat was an unmanned research probe. After pirate incursions in system, it was hastily converted to a maned fighter by the Colony on Rigel IV and renamed the "Super Gnat", Basically the sensor package was removed and replaced with a cockpit unit and weapons system. Overall mass and dimensions were kept close so that it could be used with the launch "cartridges" in the research vessels that were also refit for military service.
