I just got an email from a now ex flickr contact. he said he was offended by my comments on the President and won't come back to my stream because of it. He thinks Obama will ruin your country.
Good thing I didn't tell him more personal info about me or probably would have spewed hatred.
What a sign to rid the past 8 years of an ineffective president.

Yeah don't under estimate the split. Folks who supported Bush and still do will never change their minds. To switch now would be to admit they were wrong about some pretty nasty stuff, including the need for thousands of dead US soldiers but more importantly in my mind, a million dead Iraqis who died needlessly and would be alive today if they had not been "liberated". What a tragedy. Bush supporters ignorantly say they would be dead anyway or "better to die free"...what a bunch of jingoistic stupidity. Bush certainly got his wish to make history...all of the wrong kind. The facts will shame this man beyond any previous US President.

Well i'm "conservative" by nature (but a British Conservative living in the UK) to say that Bush is the equivalent of a Conservative is a huge embarrasment...he's an absolute cock!! (to put it bluntly!) He weedled his way in as I recall with some dodgy voting figures with Jeb Bush's help too - so to my mind - whilst being conservative by nature I'm sooooooo glad this grade A fool is out of office. I'm also *really* pleased to see Obama coming in, I think he's going to bring a sweep of change that is sorely needed and with that uplift I can see the econimic crisis starting to lift too hopefully. Change is what's sorely needed now and I'm considering my political stance as a result of being "switched off" by Bush and Co, especially as I'm not that impressed by Cameron over here too! ;-)
