Threaded dew![]() ![]() The alarm went off at 6am and out of bed I rolled, straight in to my clothes, grabbed the new lens and headed off across the common to get shots of swans at the pond. The weather forecast had promised - promised! - a beautiful sunrise with a little bit of mist rolled out across perfectly still water.
The mist was there (three times as much as I wanted) and so were the swans but there was no sunrise. Well, there was but it was hidden behind a blanket of cloud. And talking of blankets, you can guess where I wished I still was, rather than trekking around a common in the mist. But then the mist started to clear and the light started to dance on cobwebs that resembled threaded dew. This shot was taken looking up to the web and through to the sun, which had been diffused by autumn leaves. Part of the ministract and the common sets. Commentshelmet13
