Fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside...

I'm just driving down to Trier and have stopped for lunch at the Wanlin service station between Namur and Luxembourg. And within 5 minutes I was reminded of two things: the Pound is so weak against the Euro and, more to the point, Belgian Fries are far better than their French equivalent!!

Swiss Fries are fine but not great. However, their chair backs - like this one from the Old Town - are much better than the ones I've seen in Belgium :-)

We've just got back from my parents' place and head to Germany tomorrow. But before I go there's time to see my contacts shots and post this one of two romantic ducks, trapped in water pools at the otherwise frozen Talkin Tarn :-)

Happy Birthday Fabstr!!!

Fabe is 12 today! Happy Birthday, Little Man! He's on Flickr as fabstr and tonight he's posted his first ever shot taken with a DSLR.
