This photo means a great deal to me. In 1988 or 1989 I met Eric on ALPE (the precursor to AOL) and we became great friends. In the background you can see ALPE running on his computer. This was the first time we met (his house in Minnetonka). We remained friends for years until he drifted away. Of all the people who have come through my life, he's one of the two I miss most.
