Mixed Signals

Mixed Signals by DarrylW4.
Map it: Google Earth | Street | Satellite | Hybrid | Nautical | Topo

These semaphores at the Saline Depot Museum might have given the train crews mixed signals had the semaphores been installed like this when the track was connected. Today, this short little section of track sees nothing more than the GTW caboose parked here as part of the museum's collection.
(I also want to thank I am Jacques Strappe for inspiring us to visit Saline through her photostream.)

They're strangely pretty. I'd never seen anything like them before, until spotting them at the Saline Depot.
