Excellent by-the-numbers building. It's a little too realistic for true b-t-n steampunk (people did try to build similar things IIRC) but I'll let you off.

Are you sure he doesn't need a windscreen at those speeds? Don't want his hat to get blown off now, what with all its pretty feathers. Seriously though, I like this little airship a bunch, from its red racing stripe to the functional-in-appearance strings hanging 'round the balloon. Nice work!
