Isn't it Ironic

Isn't it Ironic by darkhairedgirl.
that Jerry Falwell is the chancellor of a university called "Liberty"?

From the Wiki entry for Liberty University:

"The university has a strict code of student behavior, documented in "The Liberty Way", including possible reprimands (and with the accumulation of reprimands, fines) for attending dances, violating curfew, viewing R-rated movies (on or off campus), drinking (or even associating with those drinking alcohol), smoking, viewing sexually explicit material, entering the bedroom of a member of the opposite sex (on or off campus), and participating in unauthorized petitions [2] [3]. The phrase "That's not the Liberty Way," is commonly heard across campus, used by students and professors alike as a good-natured "poke" at the school's rules. On several occasions Falwell has described the school as 'Bible Boot Camp.' He still exhorts Liberty's students to burn it down if it 'ever turns liberal'. In the summer of 2005, the university announced that it was slightly relaxing its class dress code to allow flip-flops, capri pants, jeans, and other casual articles of clothing (but not shorts) to be worn in the classroom. Faculty members work under a contract requiring them to abide by similar behavioral codes."

The religious right stays close to such terminology. Google Regent University and you'll see how Pat Robertson's school is full of patriotic written imagery. They're co-oping every bit of such language that they can.

I'm STILL amazed that Pat Robertson publicly called for the assassination of Hugo Chavez and pretty much was given a free pass in the mainstream media.
What he failed to reveal was just how much stock he had tied up in oil companies and how he did not want Venezuela to nationalize their own oil. He stood to lose a lot of money.

I've read that Pat Robertson is considered the most influencial
man in politics for the past decade.
He realized the evangelicals were many in number but scattered
in voicing their demands. He convinced them they had the power to
vote and change things (before they had it.)
They believed him and took on that power and used it, resulting in
2 terms of Bush.
They're having a tough time right now, choosing who to support;
lots of zealots out there but not much talent.

I had heard the expression "that's not the Liberty Way", but I had no idea what it really meant! What would Jesus really do? Well, he only had one rule and it sounds fair to me!!!!
By the way, there's no pet food scare in Europe, maybe we should send some over!!!

Personally I like that you've captured "savory chicken in gravy" for eternity. I like to imagine that Falwell was saying that particular phrase when you snapped this shot...
