most lebanese would like to see it torn down, or renovated - as it is its a chilling reminder of the war. owned by a middle eastern royal family, who arent so sure that lebanon is stable enough to go to the trouble and expense of taking it down or renovating it

Hariri Mosque
also known as Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque officially
built by the former prime minister who was assasinated in a massive car bomb in 2005. Hariri is credited with rebuilding beirut and lebanon after the end of the civil war in 1990.
