We stayed at the Port Douglas Retreat, a really nice place in Port Douglas, Australia. The hotel is really quite nice and has a kitchenette inside, so you can cook as you like. Or, should you want a nice meal, there are over a hundred restaurants within a 3 or 4 block radius.

In summary, the Port Douglas Retreat is right in the thick of things, but still has a very quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

The 12 Apostles are rock formations in Soutern Victoria, Australia. These sandstone towers are what is left after millions of years of erosion.

This is quite remote from Melbourne, say 3 hours by car, but the scenery is breath taking. Apparently, the thing to do is take a heli around on a quick tour.

We bumped into this very friendly Wallaby at a reserve near Sydney. This particular wallaby had been raised partially by humans and was very loving and affectionate. She was so CUTE!

I love wallaby and want one for a pet. Especially a really cute one like this.

Cape Tribulation is a spot in northern Australia where the Rain Forest meets the Great Barrier Reef. Hundreds of years ago Captain James Cook crashed a boat on a reef and had to pull ashore for repairs. Since he had such issues, he named the place Cape Tribulation.

We did a bit of Sea Kayaking here and got to observe the cape from Sea. Very beautiful and relaxing.

Ok, We'd never been on a hot air balloon ride before, so it was quite a treat. Hot Air Ballooning is graceful and amazing.
