Mother Nature: Repossesion

Mother Nature: Repossesion

I haven't uploaded anything lately here so I thought I'd go for it.
As of now, the title is, "Mother Nature" but I'm not sure that is going to stick.

On A Winter's Night

On A Winter's Night

"Snow Rise"
by Robert Pack

Dreaming time has reversed, I watch drowned snow
Appear to lift up from the lake;
Reshaping magnified, each risen flake
Looms in the air, deliberate and slow,
Allowing me to let your picture form and wake
Astonished that you have returned to go
To watch me watch drowned snow lift from the lake.
Dreaming time has reversed—and you,
Your red cheeks radiant against the wind,
Are gliding toward me on the ice into
A frame of glided twilight—I
Again awaken from your being gone to find
Your gloved hands covering your lips' good-bye
So you can watch me watch uplifted snow
As if your absence now concluded long ago.

Butterfly Morning

Butterfly Morning

I woke up during the night again, not sleeping... and I had this inspired sense of renewal. I started messing with PNG stock, and this is what came of it. I hope you enjoy! (Sorry for being away so long)

Take these sorrowful gifts I bring, for I have no use for them now.

Phantom-Wooer: Thomas Lovell Beddoes

THE PHANTOM-WOOER

A ghost, that loved a lady fair,
Ever in the starry air
Of midnight at her pillow stood;
And, with a sweetness skies above
The luring words of human love,
Her soul the phantom wooed.
Sweet and sweet is their poisoned note,
The little snakes' of silver throat,
In mossy skulls that nest and lie,
Ever singing "die, oh! die."

Young soul put off your flesh, and come
With me into the quiet tomb,
Our bed is lovely, dark, and sweet;
The earth will swing us, as she goes,
Beneath our coverlid of snows,
And the warm leaden sheet.
Dear and dear is their poisoned note,
The little snakes' of silver throat,
In mossy skulls that nest and lie,
Ever singing "die, oh! die."
