my view

a curtain {vintage bedsheet} & lovely photo which don't look at all s though they should be in the same room. we've lived here for seven months; this curtain was just put up a month ago; the photo has hung here since we moved in {i love it too much to put it elsewhere}.

henry woke up this morning & wanted to come out to the living room to find his dad. we cuddled in the recliner, and approximately 10 seconds later, this happened. please note the little fingers clutching the ends of my hair - it's a comfort to him; whenever he's upset or sleepy, he rubs strands of my hair between his fingers and thumb. i'm eager for my hair to gain about eight inches; this length makes for a sore neck when he's in need of comfort in the car. :p

yesterday when peeling an orange, i somehow ended up with a peel shaped precisely like wisconsin {and felt compelled to take this picture for my mom; when i was growing up, we were always noticing oddly-shaped foods - a piece of toast with only three bites left could look like a cow; a nearly-finished pancake could be in the shape of kentucky}.

just before i snapped the picture, someone hurried over to investigate.
