Makat / Мақат (Kazakhstan) - Central Street

Makat / Мақат (Kazakhstan) - Central Street by Danielzolli.
Makat, Atyrau Oblast, Western Kazakhstan: A remote town in the middle of the desert, built probably in the 70s for the oil production. There are 13'600 people living in Makat according to www.brif.kz/maps/atyrau_region.php, but anyway the town seems very deserted, there's no restaurant and only one open air pub... Nice place to make some photos!

Oh god, this is no town for me.

A very interesting series of shots and explanations.

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called aaarrrggghhh..., and we'd love to have your photo added to the group.

Kazachstan an oil-rich independent country does not seem inclined to extend its wealth to its people
