Nicely done, those children look so happy and the trees and colors are gorgeous.

I would love to see just the kids as well.

Score 8/10 (from the Score Me!
      group)

Was just reading a monograph on these trees yesterday. How small is the world?! I like this image it has a certain 18th century feel to it.

Nice shot - would prefer to see the children closer-up and less of the avenue. 7/10 (from the Score Me! group)

Beautiful this Boabab Avenue, I would dearly love to visit and shoot it myself. but at sunset. We have then here too, but ours are a different species, much bigger, but not as tall.

Nice shot. Agree with Number Six, though, I'd like to see more of those kids and less of the landscape.

These are the famous baobabs... (hence the name of the road).

Amazing photograph. The place looks similar to the one in Chris Simpson's picture shot with a Hasselblad.

Thanks S a b i r for the kind words... In fact this place is so beautiful that anyone going there would do a good picture. I think Chris Simpson picture is so much better because he climbed on something to get a nice perspective (probably the roof of his 4x4)...

      This photo is amazing!!

I'm currently working on my Masters Thesis Project in Graphic Design and I'm focusing on the Avenue of Baobabs and the people living in that region. I would love to hear about your experience in Madagascar. If you wouldn't mind sharing some of your insights with me, please drop me an email at: emlemmer@gmail.com. Thanks so much!

ever since i read the little prince as a child, i've always wanted to go to the african sahara desert to see if i could catch a glimpse of the star that the prince came from, and to madagascar to see baobabs with my own eyes. someday i'll do that, in the meantime, i thank you for sharing your photos here. i feel like i've just come one step closer. =)

Thanks Heidiologies for the nice comment... indeed the Mdagascar baobabs (and lemurs, and everything else) are an impressive sight. Definitely with Indonesia, one my favorite country in the world...
