RIP

This little baby died today of a crushed windpipe. He suffered all night and helpless me could only cry my eyes out. He had to be pulled out by the vet because hewas too large to fit through the birth canal.
I know the doctor saved the rest of the litter by doing this....I cant even see...because i'm crying....
Id like to think it will be fun like this...go to sleep little baby

Just a note...This is not a picture of a dead puppy....this was taken a few days before, and I thought he would be okay.

We have had him alive now since sunday...but last night he started gasping and squeaking, and oh god...I have not cried so much since I was a child...even now, the tears come and go...I think I'm done and it starts all over. Thanks for the hugs and the sympathy...it helps a lot.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

Oh Dana, I came here from Gabriela's stream where I saw your comment. You poor thing. There's nothing worse that hearing/seeing a creature suffer and not being able to fix things for them.

I went through that before finally putting my 12-year-old bunny down in December 2006. It was heartbreaking, and I cried rivers it seems. I like to think of her now frolicking somewhere in the ether, doing her jumps and sidewinders.

How fortunate this little fella was to have you there to love him so much while he was alive. And now I'm sure his little spirit is prancing about and wishing he could lick your tears away and make you feel better.
