Crumpled Rainbow

Years ago a very good friend went to India and brought me back a splendid silk outfit in all colours of the rainbow. I loved the fabric but never thought that as an outfit it was a good look for me.....

I've always knew I'd find a use for it but never knew quite what. Now I realise that I was keeping it so I could throw it on my scanner, tweak the image a bit and then share the results with you.

Wow! Such variety. I love seeing the world through your eyes. You have such a love for the forgotten details, the seemingly mundane objects. And yet you always transform them into something magical.

Yes Cath, I think you are guessing correctly.
Karin, I love the details. They're all around you every day and the world is a better place when you notice them.

Agreed... the more details uncovered, the more immense the splendor of existence.

A splendid collision of colours and fabrics. It looks like a tie-dye festival in pastels. The arrangement is lovely. Karin's thought is spot on.

I thought I'd take a look because I was intrigued as to what it was. Now I know, AND it's scanned which is a very interesting twist. I love the fact that you've thought of this whole process and the more I understand, the more interesting it becomes. And 5 minutes ago I was getting cheesed off with the sameness of stuff I was finding. Thankyou. (3:1 Group)

You ought to spend some time in Winchester - like you I passed many times - now my daughter lives there with her boyfriend - so I spent a very wet weekend there - it was lashing down ! This fabric is beautiful - you'll probably find much to your taste in Winchester.
