Tea

On our Chai Pilgrimage, we visited many tea farms in North East India--both large estates and small tea cooperatives--all growing organic, some biodynamic. We met many women in the rolling, thick tea hills, plucking and tossing handfuls of leaves over their shoulders into baskets. Their distinctive Nepali chatter and giggles welcomed us every time. We'll be posting many more photos (and writing on our blog) of the estates and processing, the farmers and pluckers, and biodynamic and organic methods.
