- CineCity - Now defunct and likely to become either a block of flats or demolished. Such a shame as it almost a hundred years old.
- The Pleasure Bar - Despite its name, is not a 'massage parlour', but a rather nice, if expensive bar. Pleasant in the summer when you can sit outside.

Ha ha, probably ! I hope they get it refurbished [as the Civic Society plan to] as I've never been in. Apparently it's very ornate inside.

The only reason that CineCity is still standing is because the scallies don't dare to burn it down in case the White Lion next door caught fire and they'd have nowhere to go :}

it used to be called the flea pit ! my step daughter was an usherette there in 1980s , it also had a video shop on copson st !
