Sunrise Over Mt Hood

I don't normally take my camera to work but this morning I was ecstatic that I did. I could spend hours taking photos trying to get one great shot. Then there are moments like these when nature sets one up for you. Of course my storage card was full and I had neglected to empty the night before so I was frantically deleting off the card trying to get a shot before the sun had risen completely. Not to mention the 40 degree weather decreasing the speed of my fingers

I love the clouds; it's like blowing sand in the desert, if that makes any sense

I love the red/orange in your sky. Did you happen to catch the pink and deep blue that occured about fifteen minutes prior to this photo? It was a great morning to be out with a camera today. :-)
