Hello, hello, widderson! Yes, I really love currywurst, and Konnopke's are the best in town. At least the best of the comparatively few I have tasted.

JonMarc: Currywurst is something you find all over Berlin. Maybe elsewhere, too, but in Berlin is seems like the most ready avaliable food.

@purf. I have never been to Bochum, but I'll definitely put the place on my tour de currywurst!

@spvw. At that particular time, the only regret was that I had bought just one.....

let me know when you come to Bochum, it's my neighbour town. ;)
and you will at least have two destinations: the one above and one of the most famous Pommesbuden outside Berlin: the Profi-Grill in Bo-Wattenscheid.
As this kind of food is part of industrial centres a "tour de currywurst" is a real option, here and in other parts of Germany.

A tour de currywurst might be a bit limited as a concept, and since the better half doesn't eat meat, it could be rather lonely. But we both like Germany, and I have been there more or less regularly since the beginning of the 60s, Bochum might come up some day, or Profi-Grill. :-)

very brave!
such a small car for so many people and a long journey! On the other hand Germans crossed the Alps with such vehicles.

What so ever!
If you ever want to discover Industriekultur, tell me. I am in the very centre of it - and you already know: our sky is blue as well, but coal dust rare ...
