Ever vigilant.

A well seasoned security guard casts a wary look my direction as I line up and take my shot. I must not have posed much of a threat, however, he just went back to drinking his coffee.

ohh, dear, he looks so beat.... so tired... and all he want is a cuppa in peace - and the pppppapaaarzzi is annoying him... poor guy...

great catch... this would have been my winner if it had made the emergency services challenge :)

I thought the same thing...looks like he's had a hard life. Wish I would have talked to him now...

And if I'm the papparazi, where is my big payoff??? :)

very effective candid portrait - I really like this and the detail is superb. You've also got a wonderful tonal range here. A truly effective and beautiful shot.

Passed this by at first ... then came back to it. The cup of coffee gives this a realistic grounding... ummm.. saying this poorly ... just a lot of little details that make this worth taking some time to study. There we go ... that says it better. fav

This is great, what a look. I don't think I could take a shot of a security guard.

      That's one pissed off officer.

LOL, thanks gilliguy...this was a security guard at a hotel off of Beale Street in Memphis. He was pale, gaunt, and looked like he just wanted to end his shift and go home. Honestly this is one of my favorite candid shots I have ever taken.
