Sheldon, yep, I propped the camera on the wing of the "ship"...I added a note to the photo, you can see the leading edge.

Well, since I had just gotten it a couple of days before I had it on Program AE. All of the data is in the EXIF field, you can check it all out by clicking "Additional Details" under the type of camera used.

This shot was taken essentially handheld while on the ride going full speed. The car with the mother and son is probably a full 40 feet away. Each car has a lever in it to make it independently controlled for "up and down".

I was surprised and very happy to see that I had captured the shot clearly enough so you can see the woman's earring clearly if you look at the large or original size....

I'd like to say it was planned, but it was a whole lot of luck. :)
