Old Queensland Museum

    Taken through a tinted car window as we drove past using the 18-55mm kit lens and the Clear PictureStyle.

    This building used to be the Queensland Museum when I was a wee lad, but now is part of the National Trust and used by the Queensland Youth Orchestra amongst other similar groups.

      Hey I remember that, I thought it had gone the way of that ballroom? what was that called?
      Oh so thats a drive by shooting. I've been wondering about that.

      It is indeed an impressive building Alison :) Of course all I remember of it as a kid was that it had dinosaurs outside it!

      Cloudland Kev, but luckily no, this one was saved from the Dean Brothers. Yep, practising my drive by shooting technique, never know when it might come in handy ;-)

      That section of roof was recently replaced too. If you look on the left side you can see a mustard coloured section, that's the older roof sheets, the new ones are all silver, which I think looks a bit better than the mustard (which tended to be a bit drab).

      I thought it was a church at first glance! Lovely shot of this wonderful looking building -I love the warm colours -the tinted car window has worked beautifully as a filter.
