St Matthews Church

This is St Matthews Anglican Church on Church Rd, Mitchelton, Brisbane, Qld, Australia.

It's also the site of a geocache and has excellent views of Brisbane City.

    From: www.abc.net.au/brisbane/stories/s1620108.htm
St. Matthew's Anglican Church - built on land donated by early settlers John and Mary Nicholson. Designed by Colonial Architect, Charles Tiffin who based his design on the church at barford St. martins, Wiltshire, England.
Foundation Stone laid by Sir George Ferguson Bowen (first Governor) 23 September, 1867.
This church building is said to have been made from locally made bricks with the clay coming from a site near the present Elsworthy Street and Grovely Terrace intersection.

Even better when they're unoccupied at time of visit :)

I presume services are still held here, but not at the time of the afternoon I was there. There's a bigger church/monastry just down the road which I'll have to drop by and photograph at some stage.
