Blue Arch - redux

I shot this arch quite a while ago when wandering about the city and for the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk yesterday, I thought I'd shoot it again but at dawn.

Brisbane Dawn

While everyone else was at the Riverside Centre shooting the Bridge for dawn, I decided to head further down the river and aim back at the city for a different perspective.

The addition of a Hoya NDX400 filter provided for a nice smooth river despite the high light levels.

Birthday Cake

made by my Lovely Wife for me yesterday, using this recipe for Rich Chocolate Mud Cake of mine..

There obviously wasn't time to do a proper photo at the candle part, so here's one I prepared later ;-)

For those interested in the lighting, it's a 580exII at 1/2 power into a shoot through umbrella behind and high, and another 580exII at 1/8th power into a silver reflective umbrella in front and to the left of the subject. Both triggered by CyberSyncs.

Lightpainting on the beach

during a full moon.

Had to opt for a short exposure here as the tide was coming in and only a few feet to my left.
