bottom finally drilled out

This is a project I've been working on. With a young child around, it takes a LONG time to do simple tasks, but I'm getting closer.

The hole in the bottom was drilled out and I plan to place a hot plate on the ground below the (cold) smoker with a pan full of nice wood (alder to start). I'll smolder the wood and pipe it into the bottom of the kettle using a stovepipe type conduit. The heat will be far removed from the food and all the food will feel is a bath of nice alder wood smoke (if my plan works). I'll be smoking salmon first. This is the view from above the smoker viewing the bottom. Drilling out this circle took a long time; I don't have a great selection of tools. I perforated the metal with drilled holes and finished the cutting with a file. Took forever.
