The massive images of snowflakes on the sky scraper moved slowly over the entire building and would stop and fade near the top of the (probably 12+ story) tall tree.

Nice... that particular subject is very difficult to shoot in an original way but somehow you managed. For me it's the unexpected blue lighting of 30 Rock and the focal length you used that slightly but nicely distorts the buildings inward helping to frame the promenade and the tree.
I've taken that same picture many times over the years and mostly they look like something on a Hallmark Xmas card - nice but nothing particularly interesting.
