Madaba's Jerusalem Mosaic MapDamascus Gate St Stephen's Gate Golden Gate Nea Basilica (no longer exists) Gethsemane Zion Gate Citadel (Tower of David) Church of the Holy Sepulcre (shown with a golen rotunda, which was destroyed by the Fatimids in 1009) Cardo Maximus (extends the length of the city) ![]() This 6th century mosaic map of Jerusalem was found under the floor of Madaba's St George's Church. The mosaic was probably made during the reign of the Emperor Justinian (AD 527-65) and hold significant historical value.
