Passage to the haunted cellar

Passage to the haunted cellar by Curious Expeditions.
The most historic spot in Savannah, built in 1733 as a home for the gardener of an experimental botanic garden when the first colonists arrived from England. By 1753 it was opened as an inn for sailors and pirates, and many are said to have been shanghai-ed there (when men were drugged or knocked out, and awoken to find they were on a boat, forced into the life of a sailor when crew were short). Like most historic houses in Savannah, it is also said to be extremely haunted.

The color of the shutters is called Haint Blue, which translates to Haunt or Spirit Blue. It was believed that haint blue and haint green around doors and windows would protect those inside from ghosts.
