Second level of viewers in the Operating Theater

Second level of viewers in the Operating Theater by Curious Expeditions.
The nation's first Surgical Amphitheater, or Operating Theater, founded in 1804, was also known as the "dreaded circular room". Surgeries were performed between 11:00-2:00 on sunny days, as there was no electricity.

The historic section of Pennsylvania Hospital, the nation's first hospital, founded in 1751. The modern hospital was built around the historic building, which has been beautifully preserved.
