Recording PIRATES, HO!

It is William Dufris' flair for the (oh, so) dramatic and goofy that made him a perfect match to record Sarah L. Thomson's new picture book, PIRATES, HO! (Marshal Cavendish).

Sarah and Curious City sequestered ourselves in Dufris' studio and rolled on the carpet with laughter as he created voices for each of the piratical scoundrels.

Pictured are Dufris' and Thomson's heated (and faux) arguments over whether Angus Black sounded "Scottish enough."
