Livestock: This Summer's Picture Books of Livestock, Love & Udderstanding

Strolling of the Heifers

Six fab children's picture book authors & Illustrators appeared under the banner of Livestock at The Strolling of the Heifers, an annual event celebrating Vermont bovine beauties.

The Livestock picture books were in the parade held aloft by young readers and following by the Livestock bus and Punk Farm tour van (designed and piloted by BUHS students).

The Strolling of the Heifers housed our authors & illustrators under a beautiful clover-carpeted tent with a stage, tables full of activities and a petting zoo of genuine, well, livestock.

The tent was mobbed, the activities a hoot and the book sales were flowing.

The authors & illustrators said thanks to the community by visiting elementary schools on Friday and high school art classes on Monday.
