Pakistan - Simone Montomoli BMT unit @PIMS January 2009

On Tuesday, 20th January 2009, Pakistani Federal Minister for Health, Mir Aijaz Khan Jhakrani inaugurated the "Simone Montomoli" Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Pakistan institute of medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad, for the cure of children with thalassemia major, and other severe diseases; it is the first such unit in a public hospital in Pakistan.
