Establishment of the "Simone Montomoli" Bone Marrow Transplant Unit for the cure of children with thalassemia major, and other severe diseases, at the Pakistan institute of medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad. It is the first such unit in a public hospital in Pakistan.
