I love the image but the ridiculously wrong premise of the quote by Anthony Storr is a little off putting. In fact, many species are lethal to their own kind. Capuchin monkeys die from attacks by their own kind in much higher numbers than from all predators. Wolf packs often kill their own members in fights and certainly are famous for destroying other packs. There are endless examples of murder and cannibalism in animals of all kinds. We come by it hostly. The only thing that stops us a little is our humanity or denial of our animal nauture.
