I'm impressed. My pancakes always turn out relatively flat and floppy. But these are fat and fluffy - very pretty.

@ Keukness: Maybe you need a little more baking powder and don't make the batter too thin. Buttermilk really helps, too.

I've got a bottle of home made vanilla maple syrup that would go well with this...
... if I ever figure out how to unseal my volumetric flask without breaking the ground glass stopper that is... :-(

The problem is the sugar crystalized around a ground glass joint ... I've tried heating and I've tried freezing... but I'm going to try water-bathing it this time around...
Thank god it's lab grade pyrex...

WD40? Okay, maybe not but a combination of something like PAM and a little heat might work. good luck.

W Well... I was going to give you a small sample of it ... So maybe WD40 isn't such a hot idea... ;-) I'll figure something out. It's looking really good - I basically split a vanilla bean and let it soak in maple syrup for 6 months...

It's been so long since I've had Banana Pancakes.
I've always loved having breakfast for dinner when it's so blistery cold and wet outside, something very comforting about it.
Nice work and great surface shot my friend !!!!
