The Outsider (cropped)
Took this outside of a framing shop in Alexandria VA. I love black and white in color and after i snapped this shot, i noticed the one bird far off to the left facing the opposite way. I call him 'The outsider'
Cropped but kept the blueish/grey tint to the sky for now.
It's better viewed LARGE.

I would agree with your crop suggestion, and I would probably consider pure black and white. That or saturate the sky a bit to add more contrast with the birds. I love the one turned the opposite way..."travels to the beat of a different drum" is probably what I would have titled it LOL. This picture really has a lot of great stuff about it...you definitely have the eye!

Nice shot!
I like the contrast between birds and sky.
I think that the crop is perfect!

The title is adequately fitting for this photo. As that bird is about the only 1 you fully see, he could be a different kind from all the others. I do agree that a cropping should be done with this photo. There is a lot of unneccesary sky, and the birds would look better off centre, instead of how they are placed now. Have you thought of converting this shot to black and white, to see how it looks? I know thats the effect this shot kind of has now, which really wasn't your intention or idea when you shot it. It appears to be a case of the sky was dull looking and the birds are black. I think it may be a more powerful shot, if converted that way. The silhouttes of the birds are marvellous, so if the sky could be converted, I think this shot would be superb.

The image wouldn't have been half as good without "the outsider", nice catch! I do prefer crop of the note, though.

I think it would look amazing with your suggested crop.
It is such great moment to have caught, It really tells a story.
The silhouette against the very soft pale blue gradient is just beautiful. I really like this shot :)
