Sleepy play

Amateur medium format remains a film affair for the moment as the prices are too high for its digital version. Provides lovely out of focus blur and quite fantastic resolution with a good camera (here the Ricohmatic 225 TLR and Portra 160 film). Camera cost: 50 euros; film cost 4 euros; develop and scan at high resolution (24 megapixel equivalent): 10 euros per roll.

Cousins

There was this kid looking in awe at the ourangutan. And the glass reflection. And the trusty Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 at hand (at f/2) on the Nikon D40.

Christmas present - Yashica minister III

Looks and feels better than in the picture. 45mm f/2.8 lens with 5 components, selenium based meter that still works pretty accurately, automatic parallax compensation, good coupled rangefinder, X-sync socket (no hot-shoe).
