you're right, Klimt is kitsch, but highly
advanced kitsch ;o) you won't see any more modern or innovative
piece at this place because it's dedicated to
art < 1920... and Klimt was an important
artist of that era. that's (along with
Liesl's arrogant behaviour) the sad thing
about the whole case. fortunately judith
stays there ;o)
i remember the apple trees, they impressed me
very much when i saw them with 17 years, we
went there with school. i guess also in the
years up to 1920 existed more innovative art
than that by klimt.
