Again - great - speaks for itself! I have said many times, in my classes, that "snakes are good at 'checking things out,' but not good at 'thinking things through!'"

      Hahahaha! This is adorable!

John, you're pretty much always getting bitten by something, aren't you? lol

Heh, never had this happen to me. How did you extract the finger without damaging teeth?

...and I hadn't even been holding anything that a Kingsnake would like to eat. Pretty soon I'll be able to have a whole set of photos of animals biting me.
Ecosnake - yes indeed. In fact, I turned this into a "teachable moment."
Hedgerowmobile - I'm typing this from inside a snake. Pretty wide.
Mean and Pinchy - anything but Rattlesnakes. I don't pick those up with my hands. But yes, I do get bitten by a greater variety of animals than most people. My fault entirely.
Ken-ichi - I briefly submerged her in a bucket of water, causing her to let go. Usually, pouring water on a snake's head works, but it didn't in this instance.

Oh, man. Too good. That's not an angry bite; that's a hungry bite.

I love how you stop to take a picture of it. Classic. Odd she would bite without provocation or smell
