Chicago Dogs (I ate fish)

Chicago Dogs (I ate fish) by croncast.
*^These hot dogs were waiting for tourists or an ardent Bears fan to consume at Portillo's on W. Ontario St.

I've never had fresh tomato on a dog! What else is on those? Onion and relish? Mmm... Looks like it's dinner time here.

though i live here i have never eaten a 'chicago' style hot dog. i see these things at events here and always wonder if the pepto comes free with them or as a dessert.

sauerkraut, celery salt, mustard, relish, pickles, tomatoes, cucumber slice, ketchup, mustard, sport pepper, shredded lattice. I have had all of these toppings. chicago dogs are made in front of you behind glass counter. made with love. although the place this was taken at they don't have all those toppings. other Chicago joints do use most of them at the same time.

Blasphemy passing up on a Chicago style dog. I had one on Saturday along with one covered with chili and cheese. Can't see the relish or sport peppers, so maybe they aren't really "chicago" style.

@cb60089: Everything you mentioned, except the dreaded ketchup on a real Chicago-style dog! Oh, and the dog itself has to be Vienna beef!
