uhu, i'm curious about the Zigview. Does it simply reply the view from the viewfinder or it has other functions too?
And what about battery life?

Marc Lacoste says:

Yes, it's just a little video camera with a screen, it is even pointlessy useable without the SLR . There is a more sophisticated version with triggering and time lapse recording too.

The LiPoly battery life seems pretty good : I haven't charged it since I got it last fall, I even bought a UK power adapter and haven't even used it yet.

But I don't use it very much. This is a tribute to its lack of integration, for example the video cam is fixed in the device and rotate with it, so the display rotates too, or the very poor dynamic range and the slow light level reaction. It should have been so simple for th SLR manufacturer to add a little camera in the viewfinder, the screen is already here.

I wanted to use the D40 tethered with a laptop for shooting from room corners, but the nikon drivers are not so great, I didn't make it yet.

Marc Lacoste says:

the zigview is crap, I don't want a battery grip because I prefer my camera light as possible, I just carry one extra battery, and I would love a 18-200VR. But it ain't cheap. And I'm thinking about a 5D with a Tokina 24-200, the extra wideangle is more important for me than the 300mm eq.
