    January 24, 2007. Thanks to my email, we had a meeting about the Student Handbook today. I've been thinking about creating and am very passionate about making it the best handbook Highline students have ever -and will ever - take/n notes in. I dreaming of an environmental theme and I'm wishing for the calendar area to be up for design.

    I worked out before the meeting today. It was beautiful outside, but I want to keep on schedule. Hwi from International Student Programs taught me how to properly lift free weights the way he learned in Korea. Now I won't look like a fool if I ever decide to work on biceps (because, seriously, I've only been doing triceps (and on the machines) since my wrist hurt once upon a dream last year).

      Looks good to me! BTW, 2/3 of the mass of the upper arm is triceps, 1/3 biceps. Best, ...

      The reason I only do triceps is because I was previously only using machines to work out and the bicep machines occasionally tweaked my left wrist funny... a quick burning sensation = triceps only!

      Yeah, I think it is much more comfortable to use dumbbells for biceps. Pain is nature's sign to stop and think about what you are doing. Good luck with the free weights!
