... the trailhead on the way home from Devil's Lake ...

The gorge at this angle looking toward Devil's Lake (East) was cut by the ancient Wisconsin River, and makes a 90-degree bend North just out of view. The East bluff's of Devil's Lake (just 2.5 miles from this location on Hwy-113) on are visible as part of the quartzite outcrop on the bluff's on the right-side of this photo.
