here's some of my thoughts i'd like to expose to you, flickr! i highly doubt anyone would read this but it's still nice to get it out!

why do i love concerts? i can't even begin to explain. let me start off by saying that the feeling it provides is something i constantly long for. it might be because of the intimacy between the audience and the music. because of the fact that listening to the particular band for the longest time finally becomes worth it when they're present in front of me, doing what they passionately love to do best. the lights, the stage, the sounds, and just the overall exciting environment that reminds me: for that one night, i won't have anything to worry about.

but most of all, it's because i'm in a room full of people who share the same passion in music as i do. whose lives have changed and have been similarly touched by those chords, beats, melodies, and lyrics performed by that group of inspiring people on stage. and that room full of strangers in the audience suddenly become people whose hearts are united just because of the music that's so important to every single individual in that venue. because those artists on stage performed such an unbelievable and memorable show that only the special people in the crowd have experienced. then at the end of that show, we all realize that we are just as important to the band that touched our lives as they are to us. ugh concerts are simply beautiful.

Liberty Island! I've lived in NYC for 10 years now and never have I met this legendary statue until this year! can never go wrong with tourist photos! :)

when the pale city lights are aglow, and my heart's feeling empty and cold, there's one place i know that i'm dying to be. steel city, you'll always be a part of me.

i always think of these lines when photographing my favorite place in the world.

and wake up with the fondest memories!!
