Not a great idea at all, it's doubtful the shop owner could succeed in pressing charges against a shoplifter as a result of that sign. Since they are in fact "encouraging" shoplifting as a sort of contest. Sarcasm will not hold up in a court of law.

Thus while humorous, this sign is only trouble if actually used on a retail store.
